Fastback and MIE Racing Together Again
Fastback Sport Marketing also renews its partnership with Midori Moriwaki's Team for the 2023 Superbike and Supersport World Championship season.
We are the marketing managers within the team, we are alongside the Honda satellite team in finding sponsors and activating new collaborations and strategic partnerships.
THE TEAM.
MIE stands for Midori International Engineering, the company created by Midori Moriwaki. In 2019, the team participated in its first season in the World Superbike Championship in partnership with Team Althea. Since the following year, MIE Racing has been independently engaged in fielding satellite Honda CBR 1000 RR-Rs within the series.
From 2023, the official title becomes Petronas Mie Racing Honda Team under the multi-year agreement signed with the oil company.
Malaysian driver Hafizh Syahrin was reappointed while Argentine Leandro Mercado( you can find the interview we conducted last yearhere ) was replaced by Eric Granado.

The new adventure
MIE Racing in 2023 is doubling its efforts in the field of production derivatives.
The all-new MIE MS Racing Honda Team sees MIE Racing join forces with MS Racing Team, which has been participating in the Supersport 600 Championship since 2018. This new joint venture joins the series with two top riders aboard the new Honda CBR600RRs.
First up is Tarran Mackenzie, 27: This is a very welcome addition to the 600 class. The Briton is on a very impressive career path, with the British Supersport 600 title won in 2016 and the British Superbike title in 2021.
His teammate is Malaysian rider Adam Norrodin, another experienced figure who has completed three seasons in the Moto3 World Championship, raced in Moto2 and finished second in the 2020 SS600 Asia Road Racing Championship.
This expansion is one of the results of the new partnership signed with Petronas, which will allow the team to expand its reach with an ongoing commitment to series derivatives and the creation of an academy to bring young talent from Southeast Asia to the top classes
