After the first articles on the Ducati Desmosedici GP of Team Lenovo MotoGP and Prima Pramac MotoGP, we analyze the livery and sponsors of another track star: the Yamaha R1 of the reigning World Superbike Champion, Toprak Ratzgatioglu.
The correct team wording is Pata Yamaha with Brixx WorldSBK, and already evident from the titling are the two main brands supporting the Japanese manufacturer's campaign. Carrying out the operations is a partnership between Yamaha Motor Europe and Crescent Racing based in Verwood, UK.
As clearly visible on the R1's flanks, the most prominent logo is that of Pata. The Castiglione delle Stiviere-based company in the province of Mantua has long been active in motorsports. Over the years it has expanded its sprawling presence, embracing not only the major categories but also working alongside the FMI in developing the PATA Talenti Azzurri FMI program. In addition to its presence in the first Team Yamaha WSBK we also find the logo on the bikes of the other team, Yamaha GYTR, on the Moto 2 bikes of Team Italtrans, on the overalls of Niccolò Bulega and Andrea Migno in addition to that of Maximilian Sontacchi, Paralympic champion in the European Paralympic 600.
The second brand that appears in the stable name is Brixx (Brixx.com), a software that can process and manage financial forecasts for companies and start-ups. This is the second year of cooperation between Yamaha and the British company, which has more than 10000 customers in 70 countries: the team itself uses the system's potential for internal management and planning.
BMP Tappi, things can be well inferred from the name, is a manufacturer of plastic caps and plugs for all shapes and needs, from the most common to the most specific. We are talking about a reality with more than 60 years of history and capable of producing more than 3.5 million pieces per day within its 4 Italian plants. The presence in the motorsport world is due to Simone Bustreo, son of the founder and a great motorcycle enthusiast. In addition to sponsorships, BMP has 5 brand ambassadors, 5 Italian riders who help spread the company's name on race tracks throughout Europe: Luca Pedersoli, Luca Salvadori, Niccolò Canepa, Alessandro Delbianco, and Stefano Valtulini.
The inscription Semakin Di Depan is not an actual sponsor but a testimony to Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing's direct commitment. The phrase is in fact an Indonesian motto and means "Always one step ahead." These types of messages have been used by the factory team in MotoGP and continue to appear, sometimes alternating with the version made in the local alphabet.
On the sides of the fairing and at the bottom of the meat we see the McAMS logo which basically stands for Motorcycle Accident Management Services. This is a trademark belonging to Direct Accident Management Limited which is in turn part of the Anexo Group. This insurance company is involved in providing support at various levels to motorcyclists involved in accidents or problems of various kinds and is active in England and Wales. Not surprisingly, it is also the main sponsor of the Yamaha Team engaged in BSB, British Superbike.
Yamalube is the range of lubricants and specific engine care products developed by Yamaha engineers. The fact that the necessary mechanical components and products are developed within the same company provides assurance of the reliability and effectiveness of the "package."
Gilles Tooling is a company founded in 2000 by former racer Gerhard Gilles that produces high-end accessories for track use. These are purely metal components with CNC machining such as footpegs, mounts, spacers, adapters, crankcases and so on.
The Unibox logo featured on the swing arm is that of the namesake factory of metal components for displaying products that originated in Manchester. These types of components find use in the world of retail, distribution and general trade.
Alkiria is a company in the Milanese Hinterland that was founded in 1965 and operates in the field of precision mechanics. Within this sector it is able to perform specific machining or provide support and advice to other companies. Its involvement in the motorcycle field extends to supporting young talents who race in MiniMotoGP with the AC Racing Team.
Outdo is a South African manufacturer of batteries and energy storage systems. For the motorcycle part it relies on the Chinese giant Huawei.
Pro-Bolt is a Bologna-based company engaged in the production of ergal, stainless steel and titanium hardware for more than 20 years. It supplies its products to several motorcycle racing and superbike teams as well as Team Pata, of course.
Hel Performance, whose logo appears on the front fender, is a Devon-based company engaged in the production of high-performance pe regret braking components, especially braided hoses and fittings.
The GYTR lettering on the windshield encapsulates the acronym Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing. This is the Iwata-based company's reaprto responsible for making special parts for road and motocross motorcycles.
D.I.D is the world's largest supplier of motorcycle chains. Established in Japan in 1933, it is part of the DAIDO KOGYO CO. group, LTD. Of which it represents the division dedicated expressly to two-wheelers. It is a partner of numerous teams in both MotoGP and Superbike (in addition to its involvement in off-road).
Plastic Bike, founded in 1977 as Savemo Plastic and known by its current name since 1981, is an Alessandria-based company that makes fiberglass and carbon fiber fairings and parts. It collaborates with numerous World Supersport Championship teams, with Mv Agusta in Moto 2 and with Yamaha and the Motocorsa team in Superbike.
Stefano and Nicola Gandini are the founders of the gear factory of the same name that has been active for more than 50 years. This Brescia-based company has developed a department, known as Gandini Race, that deals with the manufacture of high-performance crowns and components for the racing world. Among the teams adopting this material are Team Sic58, Leopard, Althea, Ten Kate and Yamaha in Superbike, BSB and World Endurance.
BMC Air Filters was born in 1973 in Bologna from the idea of Gaetano Bergami. He immediately began developing filtration and intake systems for the racing world, first in motorcycles and then landing in Ferrari F1 in 1995.
WRS is an Italian company based in Tavullia that has been active in the development and production of high-performance parts since 2008. Finally, Crescent Racing is the original name of the British team founded in 1996 and became Team Pata Yamaha with Brixx 20 years later. Until that year, the team had employed Suzuki motorcycles, but for the past 7 years the men of Crescent have had the official support of Yamaha.
