Fastback in Australia along with Broc Parkes (pictured Borc Parkes and Fabio Barchitta CEO Fastback) who substitute Jonas Folger after had been forced to forfeit in Motegi because of a virus that will probably take him out until the end of the season.

- He debuts in the Superbike world in 2001, driving the Ducati 996 RS of the Ducati NCR team

- In 2005, Yamaha Motor Germany team Yamaha YZF-R6, team-mate Kevin Curtain.
- In 2009 he returned to the Superbike world, driving the Kawasaki ZX-10R of the Kawasaki World Superbike team; team-mate Makoto Tamada.
- In 2010 he joined the World Superbike with a Honda CBR1000RR of the ECHO CRS Honda team,
- In 2011 he ran the Supersport World Championship on the Kawasaki ZX-6R of the Kawasaki Motocard.com team, with teammate David Salom. He gets a second place at Phillip Island, three thirds (Assen, Imola and Magny-Cours) and three pole positions (Aragon, Imola and Magny-Cours). At the end of the season it is 4º with 136 points.
- In 2012 he moved to the Ten Kate Racing team, driving a Honda CBR600RR.
- In 2014 runs in MotoGP, leading the PBM (with Open Specifics) of the Paul Bird Motorsport team; teammate Michael Laverty.
- In 2015 he runs in Valencia to replace the unfortunate Alex De Angelis riding an ART of the E-Motion IodaRacing team.
